Two stage?

OK, so I have a custom wet set up, using NOS Cheater solenoids, and a NOS Fogger plate. The system is maxed out at about 180HP. I'm not sure if it's the solenoid oriface itself or perhaps the fogger plate, but I need more.

Should I go with adding a second stage or upgrade the size of the solenoids? Some folks have eluded that it may be the fogger plate, but I wasn't sure if they were simply trying to sell me products. I do like the NX Maf fogger, but don't like the idea that it's perpendicular to the intake.

If I go with a second stage, what components are neccessary? New N2O & fuel solenoids, additional window switch, and what else?

What size is your main line. I've heard that a -4 line is pretty much maxed out around 2-250 hp. I can't verify that though.
If I remember right, you had an NX system on your old ride right?
Maybe going with an NX dual stage, with shark nozzles would be the ticket. But I think a fogger setup would be sweet on your car!
If you just want to try another stage on top of your current system. Then you will need, the noids, nozzle, relay, 2 y fittings, jets, lines for the noids and the nozzle. And of course, wire and a switch.
You can buy an NX dual stage upgrade kit, that comes with everything you need.
I'm pretty happy with my NX dual stage. www.z28roc.cz28.com/en1.jpg

My main line is -4an. I hear conflicting stories on this, but I believe the best authority I've spoke to so far is Nitro Dave, and his feedback was that the -4an delivers a lot of juice, and should support 500hp. So for now, I'm ruling out the feed line.

Yeah, and frankly I like NX stuff MUCH better. But for now, the NOS solenoids I have are working good, and has been on this car for the last 4 years, so I'm not ready to replace them.

I think I like the idea of going with a 2nd stage, and now, it's just how to make it happen. I would just as soon add with NX noids, but my real concern now is the fogger plate. I'm not sure if that's the restriction or not.

My tentative plan is to replace the plate with either a TNT plate, and set it up as 2 stage, or get the NX MAF 2 stage plate. Just not sure how to go, and not sure which is best.

Also, would/should I get an additional window switch, or replace the one I have with a different until that will occomodate 2 windows?

How do you plan to activate the second stage? A button on the shifter?
If so, then one window switch will do the trick. You could tie the second stage into your existing window switch, to ensure that you don't accidently activate it when you don't want to.
Or if you do a setup like mine, you'll need another one. Both stages on my setup are activated by seperate window switches.
I think I'd just ditch the plate, alltogether. And go with 2 nx shark nozzles, with nx jets. And still use your Nos solenoids for one stage. The Maf plate doesn't seem worth the money to me. Plus it has to turn the corner. Which may or may not be a bad thing, I don't know.

Not sure if your looking to activate the second stage in first or not. Check out the link in my sig and see if you can use the first gear Lock-Out feature for your second stage. This will eliminate the need to have to mess with a handheld or mounted button. If you have any more questions about it just send me mail to info@bmnracetech.com
