n2o problem/surging with blower
n2o problem/surging with blower
Hey everyone, I finally got around to putting a shot of N2O on the impala today. I am running a mallory 685 ignition, i temporarily have the FPSS bypasses just in case, and it is breaking up at high rpms. I have a LED rigged up to come on with the solenoids, so I will know if they are getting voltage. What it does, is when the window switch comes on, the light comes on strong, but as the RPMs approach my high side window setting, the light will start to flicker, and it seems like its surging. This cant be a fuel issue, as it makes the electrical light flicker.
I was wondering if its possible that my opti is putting out such an erractic signal up high, that the high side window is triggering on and off rapidly. That is the only thing I can think of that would make the voltage to the LED fluctuate like that.
As soon as the car shifts, the light comes on solid until the rpms get up higher again.
Thanks for any help

Easy way to find out............ Bypass the window switch, bypass the fpss.... Is the led power, AND ground shared with the solenoids???? If it is, then it could be fuel.... If the fpss is clicking, the led would lose ground too.... If it's grounded elsewhere, then no, it's not fuel.... It's not too hard to just bypass them, and make one pass.... If it runs good, you know what's up... What do you have your window switch upper rpm at???? You have the ground from your solenoids going to the fpss, and then to your window switch, right??? You want the window switch to supply ground, not voltage...
