Leaded will fry O2s and Cats. Since you don't have cats, just watch the O2s... could be a problem if anyone is running a dry system. But, since the threaded started on a wet system, the computer will just go into enrichment mode.

This actually peeks my attention as I wonder how these jets are measured. I mean; If the number is the actual size of the hole (couldn't tell you what unit of measurement that could be) then the two stage that you're using is actually equal to an 83/61 jetting while youre single stage 175 jetting is only 73/38... Seems pretty simple as to why your two stage is making more horsepower...

Could someone please tell me if this "simple" reasoning is not correct??

Rockafella-

I think you have had WAY too much to drink today man

just some quick math shows that the 2 jets together are actually smaller than the single 73.

41= .00132

51 = .00212

total: .00344

73 = .00418

??? dunno how yo got the 2 jets are equal to a 83 (unless you just added the diameters together, lol)

I get it equal to a 66-67 jet??

Hey Jordon, You're right man; I just had no idea the actual size of the hole that each jet has...

Where can I find the actual sizes that you used as I have no idea what the actual size of each hole is for each jet.

ps - Are everyone's jets the same size?? Just wondering...

For instance; Are you saying that you get more fuel out of a 38 jet than you do from a "35 and a 26" jet...

If so then I guess I understand; but if not then something is up.... You've already proved that the 52 and 41 gives you less nitrous than a 73; but if this two stage set-up gives more fuel which it seems like it would; Then wouldn't you be really rich??

Please, Please give me the info in which I can find the acutal sizes of these jets...

Also: I guess you can't just figure the size of the jets and add them together. Don't feel like breaking out the equations, but doesn't a single 4 inch exhaust flow just as well as two 2.5 pipes??

well, it dopends on the drag of the interior of the surface of the pipe..

but dual 2.5 is 9.81"^2

and a single 4 is 12.56"^2

so I would say the single 4" will flow quite a bit better.

I guess that's my point after I actually thought about it.

In regards of an exhaust, a single 4 inch would outflow two 2.5's. I know that nitrous has a lot more pressure, but it also seems that the one larger single nozzle would be able to outflow two much smaller nozzles. I guess I'm just trying to make heads and tails of what exactly is going on here. If the shark nozzle is actually flowing a little more than the two smaller nozzles; then why isn't it making as much horsepower or would it; and maybe there's something else that's causing the difference in times.

I was about to jump up to a single shark nozzle 175 and possibly later the 200... It seems that I'll be best off going with two 100's as Jordon mentioned earlier. Possibly dual 125's; Sounds nice!!

Update on whats been going on.

I had a hunch and headed back to the track. The past two times Ive sprayed it at the track, Ive run either 110 or 112 for insurance against detonation. All the other times Ive run on pump gas. So I went back with pump gas this time. It went 11.08@121 with a 1.57 60ft. Seems like my car likes pump gas better than the higher octane. Works for me!

What kind of fuel pressure are you running on the NX ? They jet for the stock 43.5-44 psi, so if you are richer than that, you WILL loose some power.

I don't like trying to get more than 150 from one nozzle. It has never worked too well, regardless of whose brand nozzle.

The Shark does seem to mix better than the equivilant NOS one, tho...

And on the race gas, if you have more octane than the motor wants, it will slow down the burn more than it helps.

I've seen it time and again, where guys put race gas in, and go slower.... go figure!

Yea, Im running stock fuel pressures. Now I have also learned about higher octane gasses. Learn something new everyday!

Did you switch back to the dual nozzle setup, or did you run the 11.08 with the shark nozzle?
