Nitto dr's are actually great for 400hp. I drive on them all the time. In rain they are fine unless you drive like a moron. When any tire is bald its going to be ****ty in the rain, duh. I had a set of nitto 555 dr's that were nearing losing the middle treadline, and I still drove them in the rain without issues, unless yer doing 65+ in standing water, which to me constitutes driving like a moron. I also put my car hard into an on ramp under wet conditions and it didnt break the rear free until 90mph when I hit the metal connector piece between the sections of the road in the middle of the apex, at which point i let off and got lucky and straightened out. Ive pushed these tires hard in dry and wet conditions and they really are great tires for a high HP daily driver. I wont drive on anything less, thats for sure. Whats the point of having 400 hp if all it does is burn tires and you get beat by a stock 350z because its wet out. Oh, one more thing, even in slightly wet conditions, if you smoke em b4 you run, theyre still better than street tires!
