Track Results with 150 Shot

I recently went to the track for the first time on spray and slicks. Results were:

12.21 @ 114.7 with a 1.81 60'

It a 6 Speed LT1 Z28 with LT Headers, cold air, and exhaust. Motor has never been touched. Stock drivetrain other than 3.73 gear and I used a 26x10.6x16 ET STreet.

I ran a 62N, and 35F jet in the NX kit. I also have a Walbro 255 and Digital 6 pulling 4.5 degrees. The only problem was that I didn't have a heater and had 700 psi in the bottle. Will this make that big of a difference in the times? I was hoping for more mph.

Also, the car weighed in at 3340, 3500 with me in it. Any thoughts?

Yeah, that low of pressure will make a significant difference. Also, you will probably pick up some HP by stepping down to a lower fuel jet like 31 or 33. Experiment at your own risk.

I'd say you should be able to hit 117-119 with the above.

when my motor was stock it ran a 11.96@110mph I dont know what was up with the mph. I always try to get around 1200 psi befroe purge. IMO and at your own risk Junk that timing retard. (power retard is what I call it lol) Unless you are getting any pinging. But don't worry to much about the motor its the rearend that is going to blow Get some good bottle pressure and go again.. You will be amazed at what 300 more psi will do.

Sorry, I do have a Strange 12 bolt so I am not too worried about the rearend. Stock clutch and stock driveshaft.

I was mainly curious as to the effect the low bottle pressure would have on the times. I will have to throw a heater in there.

I just can't believe that people are running low 11's with bolt-ons and nitrous!
