TNT Dyno Results

first run was right around 260 hp 290 torque
2nd run 263.0 horse 293.2 torque
4th with the tnt quite impressive to say the least but the graph wasnt that great
5th and best run was
406.1 horsepower 548.6 torque

That was with a 22 fuel jet and 39 nitrous which should equal to 100 shot.

as shown by the A/F ratio from the dyno from those of you that seen it was so rich it was off the chart so time to lean it up a tad.

But final conclusion is even at 165k the lt1's have some life in them

Your car is definitely rich in the upper rpm range from about 4400 and up. You can see as the car gets rich the hp curve falls off fast. You need to lean that thing out a little bit...maybe step down a fuel jet or 2 to get the A/F readable and fine tune from there. However ,good number none the less for what you have. You'll prob pick up a lot of hp leaning it out some. The peak horsepower was at 4150rpms and it should be a little higher...say around 5000rpms for a stock LT1.

Howd you pick up 175 horsepower at the flywheel on a 100 shot? Thats impressive!

call tnt and ask them why the underrate the calculations due to jet size.

in the kit is says
fuel nitrous
100hp 22 39
150hp 25 46
200hp 28 51
250hp 31 58

Those nitrous jets seem a lot smaller than NOS brand.

Remember that TNT uses two foggers so essentially you are using two of those size jets.

Not impressive, misleading for TNT. Say his engine blows up, does he sue TNT for allowing 75% more nitrous into the engine than he wanted?

no because it is a wet kit and it adds fuel to even out the nitrous so that you dont blow the motor if he is running that amount of nitrous and it is still rich, the kit is doing its job most manufacuters jet their kits rich so that you dont blow the motor. rich is better than lean.

It's not an issue of rich or lean. Just to make the point, let's say they gave him 500hp jets, instead of 100hp jets. His motor would have exploded, and he'd be thinking "gee, I thought 100hp was supposed to be safe on a relatively stock motor". I don't think he'd be happy with the answer "yeah, but you only paid for a 100hp kit!" (or "yeah but at least it didn't run lean" for that matter).

This is a scary trend, I'm surprised folks are falling for it.

TNT pills are not the same as other kits. Why do you think people pilled at 100 make anywhere from 110-130 on a TNT 100 shot?

I have seen some kits pick up 25 or 30 more hp than advertised. I have seen some give less than advertised.

What is strange to me is that he picked up THAT much more than advertised. Torque is crazy.

I was under the impression that they claim rear wheel hp with their kits, not flywheel. IF thats the case then his gain is not THAT much out of line, but still juicin pretty good. Look at it this way, if your car is still has enough fuel with that shot and the engine is handling it, I say keep sprayin.

The numbers in my sig are with the NX kit jetted for a 150 shot on a bolton lt1. Granted I only run 100hp shots, I jetted for 150 on the dyno with race gas to see what she'll do.

Damn...I just orederd the TNT Dry Direct Port kit 300-600hp, but with jets from 150-250 in 50hp jumps(was $180extra for 8 of each jet for 150/200/250hp) then the ones it comes with.

Anyhow, I built my motor to take about 350hp of N2O. Ill be pissed if I put the 300jets in and end up blowing my motor cause its really about 500hp Guess Ill have to dyno tune carefully. Maybe Ill just run the 200jets and itll really be a 300shot, lol. WTF kind of system are they using. I would rather it be accurate...vs them giving us mysterious amounts of free hp/tq.

the TNT kits make more power due to 2 foggers in the basic kits. cross section of the 2 jets is more then most single fogger hp ratings.

i doubt many here have run a TNT direct port.
