Spraying with stock Ignition?

I was wondering if anyone out there was spraying with the stock ignition?

Maybe a setup like this?

NX kit, maybe 50-75 shot
Bottle warmer
Window switch
FPSS
1 step colder plug gap at .035

Do you think this is a cheap, but safe way to get started in nitrous?

Then in the future it could be upgraded by adding the following

Good Fuel pump
MSD digital 6 to pull some timing
Remote Bottle opener
150HP jets

i started with a 100 shot on a completely stock car. stock pump, plugs, wires, ignition, etc. i sprayed the 100s for a little over a month with zero problems. i put the 150s in about week and a half ago and have sprayed it a few times with no problems.

i think youll be fine like you are, in fact id have the 100s in now. of course you can never be too safe, and thats why you see so many guys buying every single peice of saftey equipment before putting even a 50 shot on their car. but its not nessesary and i know of PLENTY of people running stock LT1s with gas with NO problems.

my car is getting ready to trip 100k, so im gettng ready to do plugs/wires. ill be using the stock type wires and either stock, or one stage colder plugs. havent decided yet.

people who underestimate the craftmanship and strength of a GM small block should not be allowed to own one. (im not standing behind their driveline parts )

I'm not running that setup yet, I am debating if I want to. I could run that setup in the spring or wait and do heads/cam in the fall/winter.

If I do the nitrous, I could just start on a 396/AFR heads on the side and skip the heads/cam stock shortblock

I know a guy running a stock ignition and fuel system spraying a NX 150 shot. He ran 12.04 @ 114 with a 1.8 60ft. spraying 30ft. out. His only other mods are CAI and a cutout. His car is an auto with stock stall and 3.23 gears. IMO you should be fine with a 75-100 shot.

Thanks guys!

Now I just have to decide if I want to go fast this summer when I flip the switch, or fast all the time the summer after by doing heads/cam on the stock shortblock in the fall...

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions...
