yes,you would arm it,then mash the gas.

As far as traction,im quite sure you will have plenty of traction problems, but good luck.

Also might not want to spray through the shifts with a stock trans,it will kill it quickly.

Dirk with the good info as always...

I'm not one to follow my own advice but i should. I would look into a so called window switch. You could wire it to turn the nitrous on and off at certain rpm intervals once it's armed. I would turn it on at 2500rpm and turn it off 200 rpm before the shift point, about right Dirk? My trans is being ABUSED with a 150 shot right thru the shifts, it's terrible but it's suprizingly working fine still. Goodluck, you'll definately enjoy your new system.

A route i like to reccomend also if a higher stall torque converter, some ET Streets and a full throttle switch of course so you can have instant nitrous when leaving the line. That's my plan anyways... Goodluck!

2500-3k rpm for the starting point, and yes 2-300 before the shift.

As far as having a stock trans last, they will hold up for a little while, mine took a LOT of abuse, but it will grenade, just a matter of when not "if".

dont forget a GOOD rear with those et streets and converter

why 200-300 rpm before the shift?? i was thinking about shuting it off at 5000RPM when my shifting point is in 5700RPM....is this safe?

just as stated before... window switch...the whole set up will cost around 100-125 bucks with the modules..

i spray from 2000-5900 shifting at 6100 in a bowtie overdrives built tranny... nitrous still killed the OEM unit...with the window switch..

and even with slicks traction may still be a concern depending on track prep...

The best way I found out to get the best launch with a WOT micro switch is....

#1 make sure your lines are purged.
#2 With the system armed, slowly roll into the throttle to about 90 %. It will take some practive but basically what you want is to come offthe line with the best amount of traction you can get WITHOUT going full throttle and engaging the Nitrous. Then once you hit about 2000 RPMS you should be moving and have traction that is when you mash the pedal all teh way to the floor and engage the NOS. IF done correctly you should have just enough traction to take off with the tires BARELY chirping but still holding traction. I used this method spraying a 175 Shot on my stock LT1 A4 with 373 gears. All thru first it would be just hanging on to traction and when I hit second I was gone!

Oh also beware! Set your rev limiter higher, i set mine to 6600 because it will climb RPMs so quick in 1st gear it will smack the stock rev limiter

Good lucK
