spraying an LS1 on a motor tune????
when my car was tuned, the tech told me '98s had 28 degrees of timing stock. he didnt adjust the total timing so apparantly im still running 28 degrees...
i've been told by some that i should pull 4 degrees to spray the car with a 100 shot. im all for safety but i have not one but two friends who sprayed the living crap (JETLESS 5177 dry kits) out of 100,000 mile '98 LS1s with the stock tune (hence spraying on 28 degrees).
i just don't like having to give up 10 or so hp at the wheels to spray. i know it sounds stupid but just because i have nitrous, i don't want to reduce a car that went LOW 12s with 11 second potential (on motor) to a mid 12 second car with the bottle closed.
how much timing are you guys running on a 100 dry shot????any input would be appreciated...
