So if I get the progressive controller....

Im thinking about getting nitrous strapped on this winter and I planned on having the safety equip. Window switch, purge, blow down tube, etc.

If I got the progressive controller would I be able to go without anything? I just dont want to buy the same thing twice.

We should talk about this! If you are thinking about the very promising "Perfect Power" piece the answer is "no", in theory it would make a window switch completely unnecessary. It wouldn't take the place of a FPSS, but most people don't have these anyway.

However, it hasen't been used on a 4th gen to date that I am aware of. Depending on a few other things (mostly on if I get a "real" race care this winter) we may try it out on my Camaro this winter.

I don't know much about other types of controllers.

Im running the NX Maximizer (progressive). It doesnt take place of any of the other "safety items".
I dont run a window switch or a fpss, but those are things i have never used in 8+ years of nitrous.
My trans is built,so i spray through the shifts, and im running a 255 in tank fuel pump.
If it's your first time,i would recommend going with all the normal safety stuff (better safe than sorry).

I´m sorry, but I´ve seen the term "window switch" everywhere, but what does it mean? You have to excuse me, but I´m only a simple Swede

Basically a window switch is an rpm switch that has a low and a high set that is set by the user. It only allows something to "turn on" (ie: nitrous in this case).
Some have "pills" while the other uses a digital readout and pushbutton setup.

Ild recommend a bottle heater to keep your nitrous pressure right.

As far as the controller goes its not really for safty. Its more for hooking up. By dialing in the controller I was able to cut 3 tenths off my 1/4 time. It allows you to control how big of an initial shot you get and how quickly it rises to 100% and a few more time and power options.
