Post Siphon Filling

How full can I get a bottle by siphon filling? I've heard you have to have the fill too bottle completely empty to do it, is that true? A group of friends are debating on whether to get a fill station so I just wanted to make sure before we make the investment. Thanks

not sure what you mean by siphon filling

you can save the money one the fill station and do a cold fill by freezing your bottle (preferably overnight) and connecting it to the mother bottle, open both valves and watch the scale....

Natural convection of the cold tank and the warmer mother bottle will occur and the n2o will be transfered.

once the scale reads the correct gross weight close the valves and you ready to rock.

I am refering to the same thing as you. Turning the mother bottle upside down. Freezing the fill too bottle then using a line with filter to feed the nitrous from the mother bottle to the 10lb. But I've been told that the 10lb. has to be completely empty and you cannot get the 10lb. completely filled using this method. If the 10lb has to be completely empty to fill I will be wasting nitrous @ $2.50/lb.
