i have a 6 speed and ill be running the 685 for retard and window switch. well my plan at the track is, launch, then after i grab 2nd gear, arm the system. will this activate the window switch and timing retard on the fly? or will i have to play with 1st gear until i can hook up?

 

As far as I know it does, once it sees power to the wires that it uses for the window switch and retard, it sets everything.

 

The nature in which the window switch and timing retard are hooked up in conjunction with the nitrous kit and ignition will make it impossible to activate the box when you want.

 

2000GTP, so your saying i will need to activate the nitrous system to activate the retard and window as well, at another time, instead of on the fly?

how else can i use this setup without spraying in 1st gear?

YES! once u hit 2nd gear just arm the system

everything else will just go from there

there are different opinions on whether a High ignition system will shorten the life of ur opti....... honeslty i dont care lol i run mine all the time , in order to get the box to come on only when u use the nitrous (if possible) is a waste of time.

well i was planning on running the box all the time, but i only want the window and retard activated with the nitrous obviously, so the box will constantly be hooked up, however id like to know if i can turn the retard and window on at the flip of a switch.

i actually dont even have the kit in yet but i hate waiting for parts/information so i want to make sure everything will go as smoothly as possible and i can begin using it/testing it ASAP.

 

Yes, once its all hooked up, when u arm the system the box will set the window switch and retard the timing.
