Ran N20 for the first time....does this sound right. Experts please help!!

Previously, my best N/A run is a 13.490 @ 103 on ET streets on a cooler night.

Now, I just installed a NX wet kit with autolite 104s and ran a 100 shot through it at the track today. The temp was pretty high, so cars were slow. The best N/A run I could get today was a 13.9 @ 101 on the ET streets. With the spray, the best I got(the only run actually, I ran outta juice) was a 12.9 @ 109.2. This was the very first time the kit has been ran so...what do you guys think, am I running what I should be??.

Things to know about my system:
No window switch, no FPSS (yet), no new fuel pump, ran 92 octane ethanol, no bottle heater, no gauge, and the bottle is mounted on the hump but its tilting forward slightly so maybe the N20 doesnt get a maximum hit.

Please help me in any way because I thought for sure a 12.5 was possible with a 100 shot....but maybe it was jut the first bottle jitters???

well 1 second isnt bad for a 100 shot. what was your 60' times? what was bottle pressure? if you ran out of nitrous then you might of been able to go a lil quicker.

all in all it seems right on for the conditions you described.

Seems pretty good to me. Without a bottle heater and a pressure gauge, you have no idea whether you had good pressure in the bottle, and I suspect you didn't.

And get that safety stuff on there!

You are just shy of picking up 10 MPH for the 100 shot which is about where it should be. A bottle warmer and pressure gague will tell you if you are at the right pressure. You may be able to pick up some more MPH if you find the pressure was low.

As far as the ET goes, it is all in the 60'. If you are turning the tire and the 60' is not dropping in relation to the additional HP you will not see the drop in the ET.

Remember this rule. Horsepower makes MPH, suspension & traction makes ET.

1 sec with no other mods is good for the 100 shot.

You say you ran out of juice after one pass.....if thats the case you did pretty good because I get my best times on a full bottle....especially without a heater.

Thumbs up

You did good. If your bottle ran out then your pressure was low for sure, plus you didn't have a bottle heater. You did good.
