Puzzling question???
See if any of you experts can help me with this little problem I am having. First of all here is my setup:
383 built motor for nitrous: My nitrous system is composed of the new NOS nossle (direct port) system. My fuel setup is a Racetronix intank fuel pump (new), SX inline fuel pump (new) that is coming from a sump at the bottom of the fuel tank, and is auxiliary to when I want to turn it on. All the fuel is ran through -8an supply line, and return is -6an. The supply line goes into the fuel rail and there is a T that branches a -4 line off that goes to an NOS Y-distributor that goes into two -3 an lines that goes to each fuel solenoid for the nitrous setup.
My problem is this: When I hit the nitrous it starves the fuel for a split second and then it hits like it should. My fuel pressure is right around 45-46 and if I turn the aux pump on (which is supposed to support 1000 HP at 45 psi) it will jump up to around 50 or so. As soon as the nitrous hits the fuel pressure will drop to around 20psi, from the initial hit and then jump right back up to where its supposed to be.
Anyone know what I can do to keep this from happening? Should I try to go with smaller lines from the T on the fuel rail? Is there some kind of orifice that I can get to place in the line that supplies the solenoids to keep it from robbing the fuel from the rails?

Were is your Regulator in this fuel system? Up on the rail in the stock location? Your much hp you running through your nitrous system? What type or whos system?
The problem you have described is a fuel pressure drop. Normaly not associated to a return style system. Basicly you regulator is not reacting as fast as it should when the noids open to maintain the preset pressure. Once the lines get filled then back up all is well.
We offer an accumulator that helps that problem greatly on the LS1's but they are returnless fuel systems.
I would check the regulators, spring, diagram, etc.

Its and NOS Nossle system, the one that piggybacks with the injectors. Its basically a stock fuel rail system with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on the return side. I have the 175 shot jets in the system as of now.
