propane as a extra boost
propane as a extra boost
I've searched and sent PM's out to those who have tried Propane as a fuel additive/extra shot with the NOS. No replies. So here I am.
So far what I've learned is the ratio is 10:1 for Nitrous to propane. Now to inject this into the motor directly or with the wet shot on the propane (or gas) Should I add a Y fitting (at the nitrous line going into my plate, so both Nitrous and propane are on at same time and injected at same location?) then use the according size jet for the propane?
Maybe use a seconday plate. Or inject the propane after the MAF and spray it in with the incoming air charge?
HELP, I'm tired of chasing faster cars.

Propane/nitrous is a popular kit for the Viper. I've seen one installed and dyno tested. Same company that makes that kit also makes it for the Corvette.

If your going to do it you have to use a wet nozzle or plate. On the gas side you hook up the propane instead of your fuel line. The fuel soleniods are not realy designed for the 160-180 PSi the propane will be at. I have some notes here on some jetting which you could start from. It seems like a few people started with the same size nitrous and fuel jet then leaned it out till the plugs looked good.
Are you limited by the fuel pump or do you have the misunderstading that you will make that much more power with the propane? The main advantage is propane is a little higher octane but you could do a 1 gal stand alone fuel sytem for the nitrous and run 110 in it.

I do think there is some merit in improved fuel distribution, especially with the LT1's dry intake design.
