progressive set-ups

curious about them. how much are they? how exactly do they work, and what all is possible you can do with them? are they offered in wet and dry systems? any links for reading would be great also.

also is anyone running one of these set-ups? how do you like it compared to a single or dual stagfe system?

Maybe there are other mechanisms, but what I am familiar with repeatedly pulses the solenoids. The frequency is in the range of 20-30 times per second (or more) if I recall correctly. I thought of trying this, but did not for two reasons. First, it seems like it would be hell on the solenoids in terms of wear and heat. There may be solenoids out there designed to be constantly cycled on and off, but the stuff we get is not AFAIK. Second, it really isn't needed. My nitrous use is limited to the track, and there is enough traction there that I can have it hit all at once without traction problems. If you are running a really big shot and need to, a dual stage system will probably be enough withut needing finer control. OTOH, if you were trying to figure out how to use it on the street, some sort of a progressive system might be worth looking into. I would only do it if I knew the solenoids were designed for that kind of use though.
