Problem: No Gain in N2O
Problem: No Gain in N2O
I was at the track a while ago when I was spraying.
I didn't get any gains from an 85 shot.
I have the LS1 NOS Dry Kit.
I'm wondering what could be the problem?

That's pretty open-ended. It could be a bunch of things. A couple come to mind:
1) Is the system even working?
2) Is the system jetted so rich as to counteract the nitrous kick?
3) Is the bottle pressure too low?
4) Is your fuel pressure too low, and a FPSS is not opening the solenoids?

The system is working.
The bottle pressure is low.
It's been in the 40-50 degree weather for 2 days.
The fuel pressure is just fine.
The solenoids do open up.
I have no idea if the system jetted rich, how do I tell if it is?

My guess would be that you're running seriously rich, then. Low nitrous pressure, normal fuel pressure. That could net you no gain. Check your O2 readings with a scanner if you can get your hands on one...

How low is the bottle pressure? What is the gague showing? I assume you don't have a heater so I assume you bottle temp is probably below 800 psi. This is most likely your problem.
Also, pull your jets and check to make sure they are the right size for the shot you want.

The bottle was left in the car over night and I drove to the track with it.
The temperature outside was around 40-50.
I don't have a heater or a gauge.
I am running the right jets.

Well with out the gague and bottle warmer we will never know for sure but I would bet anything that bottle pressure is your problem. Your bottle pressure needs to be between 900 & 1150 for the system to work properly and with temps in the 40's or 50 degrees then your pressure was probably in the 700 psi area. That is if it was full, if it wasn't it could have been even lower. With the pressure that low you would have been way rich when the system kicked in and you would see no gains.
You need to get the proper equipment if you want to run in cold weather. At minimun you need a pressure gague so you at least know if it is worth it or not to run the spray.

I'm with Rich on this one.
Even with low bottle pressure, there would be a difference between the 2 runs.
What about the WOT micro switch9if your using one? did you test it by using the gas pedal, or manually under the hood. And also check the connections at the wot switch.
