Which piston for N20 ???

I'm doing a ground up rebuild on my LT1. I got LE2 heads and cam coming. My question is what should I do to the bottom end. I'll be running a 150 wet shot, I'd rather overbuild than break. Which piston do you guys recommend? Can I run a lightweight piston and then have the top ceramic coated for durability? Has anybody tried the "hellfire rings" they're suppose to great for N20 or turbos. Will the stock rods with ARP bolts be OK ?

Re: Which piston for N20 ???

First of all do a 4 bolt main conversion..
Forged crank
Forged Rods
Forged pistons (JE, Diamond, Weisco???)

I have recently heard Weisco are good for spray on LS1s but only what i heard ???

It might cost a little more to get all the forged bottom stuff rather than just getting only pistons, but my suggestion is.. do it right the first time! Dish out the extra cash to ensure that you have a solid motor. Otherwise, down the road you may wish you had done more so you can up that shot of spray, or you may be sorry because something is broken.

Might want to get some ARP head studs too and good head gaskets

Do not use a "lightweight" piston for N2O use. I wrote a brief primer on the subject. If you go to www.kennedysdynotune.com and follow the link to "Tech Tips" you can read it.

I tried your link, found alot about blocks but nothing about pistons. I know liteweight is not the way to go for nitrous, thats why I wondered if the ceramic coating made them hold up.

No, a coating will not be sufficient, though it may help.
