Yep, for as little as they cost, it's a damn good investment, as long as they are adjusted correctly.
Besides, you dont have to hook them up to shut your system off. I've got a dummy light hooked up to mine. Light stays on when I've got good fuel pressure and it shuts off if the pressure drops.

If you have absolutely no sense what so ever when it comes to either tunning nitrous as well as making a bottle run and knowing when to get out of the throttle becuase of maybe detonation then use a Hobbs switch.
My self I would never run one on a nitrous kit.

Now that's a little harsh.
I thought it went without saying that if someone was asking about a hobbs switch, then they wouldnt have that much experience with nitrous and nitrous tunning.
Most people that ask about the base FI nitrous kits are not running a full gauge package (or even a fp gauge inside the car), and are planning on running the stock jetting. Many have fuel systems that are borderline for their setup. In those situations, a hobbs switch aint a bad deal.

Not to mention that by the time you "notice" detonation on a stock LT1 with hypercraptic pistons, it is already too late. A FP safety switch is cheap insurance for us "dummies".
And I haven't heard the urban legend about Texas humidity affecting the sealed FP switch...

It's a good idea to have one. Mine has never messed me up, just adjust it correctly. My fuel system for the juice is a stand alone low pressure and I set the switch 1 pound below flowing pressure.

not really ive been spraying my car for a really long time and ive had my car detonate a few times even enough to melt the electrodes off the plug actually happed today when i changed my plugs lt1's can handle a good bit of nitrous, and i would never ever run a hobbes switch there junk and a waste of time and money for every kit i installed on ls1's i threw them in the trashthats my point of view
