Peace of mind for parents and friends.

I want to get a nitrous kit but my parents and friends have watched to much fast and the furious. Im thinking of the 05177 kit NOS. I dont have any mods accept whats in my sig. What all do I need to make it as safe as possible for me and my car? Links are appreciated for any products you recommend like window switch's etc... Thanks Guys.

Also some people (Family and friends) are telling me that its instant power and when it kicks in with my crappy tires that I will wreck. True?

Hey....I just found this link over on ls1tech.com it should tell you pretty much everything you need to know. http://home.ican.net/~jsetter/nitrous.html#5177

you may have problems with traction......but it isnt gonna instantly send you into a wall and cause you to die a horrible fiery death

NX EFI wet kit, the GenX2 upgrade and a window switch would be a good combo. Thats what I'm doing.

The next time you get a F&F comment, fix them with a look of tired patience and ask them;
"Shouldn't we be discussing this issue based on technical reference material and input from users with real world experience, rather than on a cheesy hollywood testosterone flick?"
Then talk over their heads with words like; 'Stochiometric' and 'Bernouli's Law" until their eyes glaze over and they leave you alone.

Yeah, an NX efi wet kit runs about $580, and the GEN X2 kit runs about $390. You may also want to run a window switch just to be sure you don't spray at the wrong time.. This kit here comes with everything you would need to be safe for both you, and your car..... You won't need to buy a single other thing with this one.

Re: Peace of mind for parents and friends.

The 5177 is a really good dry kit, i used to have it. With it jetted to 150 back when my car was stock with the only mods i had being a Lid, catback, and nittos ran 11.50s at 118. Wet kits are more unforgiveing then dry kits. Especially if your new to nitrous i wouldnt get a wet kit. You have to be more careful to spray in the right RPM range and psi or else it will backfire.

With nitrous traction isnt going to be as great so i would highly suggest some nitto drag radials. It will be awhole different beast then.
