NX Wet Kit with vortech elbow

I was wondering if anyone was running a NX wet kit with the "shark" nozzle. If so, where did you mount the nozzle? That divider in the center of the elbow is going to get in the way i hear. Any ideas? I just got the vortech elbow 2 weeks ago and dont wanna buy a 1le agian.

Trick Flow offers a polished ceramic elbow without the divider for $90 at Summit. I've got pics down the page from the link in my sig.

I've got mine mounted in a Trick Flow elbow also. I drilled a hole and used the NX threaded fitting. The shark nozzle screws right into it. You can also get the proper pieces from the hardware store. You can do the same thing with the Vortech, but I like the Trick Flow because it doesn't have a divider.

Could you tirm the center divider back bar enough to install the nozzle? I am not sure if you already have the single nozzle system, but if not you could go with the Gemini Twin MAF system which wont require you to install a nozzle. Thanks

The NX system is very different from the NOS dry system that just blows dry nitrous across the MAF. The NX system replaces the MAF housings with high flow billet aluminum pieces and the nitrous and fuel are injected thru the new NX MAF housings. It is a wet system and is adjutable from 50-300hp. I will try to find a pic so you can see what it looks like. I have a small pic of one on my website (www.speedtechnologies.net) listed under "Gemini Twin MAF system" which will give a basic idea of what is included. Thanks

2 issues with that, people dont like that the n20/fuel have to make a right angle fromthe intake elbow, and also I am getting the z06 maf, and I do not think the maf plate kit bolts upto the z06 maf. What are my options?

Ok, how about the 20215 dual nozzle system? It is adjustable from 50-300hp and is very similar to a normal NX single nozzle system except that it has two nozzles so you can put one on each side of the divider. That will take of your mounting issues and looks pretty cool in the process!! Thanks

When I had a Vortech elbow I used two shark nozzles, to avoid potential distribution problems. I am still using the same two nozzle setup with my ATI intake. I just used a "splitter" type fitting (from NX) to divide up the fuel and nitrous flow from the solenoids.

Rich,
I'm also going to use a NX "shark" nozzle, running 100 hp shot, on a Vortech elbow. Where did you locate the nozzle(s)? Do you have pics of the set-up? Will a single nozzle work or are 2 required? I do have the Trick Flow elbow, so I may have to switch to it.
Thanks!

No pic handy, and the car isn't handy for a couple of days either. But they are at 2 and10 o'clock about 4-5 inches from the throttle body. There are people using just one nozzle and the Vortech elbow, but that makes me nervous.

Whats the worst that can happen putting the 1 shark nozzle in the vortech elbow where the divider ends (about 2-3 inches from tb)?

It would probably work ok, but I still don't like it.
