NX Wet Kit and Schrader Valve
NX Wet Kit and Schrader Valve
I just received my NX kit and was reading through the directions and it says that my fuel supply will be from the Schrader Valve. My question is, I have my Fuel Pressure guage hooked up here and I was wondering if I could just get a Tee fitting and use it to supply both the Nitrous and FP gauge? If I can that leads me into another question. Is there a Tee fitting that has a Female adapter for the Schrader Valve on one end and 2 male adapters for the Nitrous and Fuel Pressure Gauge as the other two? That way I don't have to buy another peice of line. Thanks guys.
Oh one last question. The Schrader and Fuel Supply line for the nitrous are -4an fittings right? Thanks again.

You don't want to hang all that weight directly on the Schrader valve... it is only swedged onto the hard line, and will break off very easilly, particularly if the engine torques on launch and moves enough to put the attachments into the cowl.
My recommendation (this is a copy & paste from a writeup I never quite put on my website):

The Schrader valve supplies the fuel to a wet system, and is the place where you would also tap into for a fuel pressure gauge, or for a fuel pressure safety switch (FPSS). You need a way to connect to the Schrader valve, and a way to connect more than one “device”. This is the way I have done it.
Start with a NOS part # 17535 "-4AN 90-deg swivel fitting". This provides the correct -4AN female to fit on the Schrader, a 90-deg bend to get the connection aimed away from the cowl, and the "swivel" feature that allows you to aim the connection in exactly the direction you want. A non-swivel fitting can end up pointed in any old direction, and you can't just tighten it some more to change the direction.... the Schrader fitting can break right of the line.
NEVER over-tighten the “AN” type connectors, and NEVER apply any real pressure to the one attached to the Schrader valve. It is an expensive part to replace.
Run a short braided -4AN S/S hose from the 17535 fitting to a brass "tee". The hose should have a -4AN female on one end to attach to the 17535, and 1/8" NPT male on the other to screw into the 1/8" NPT brass tee. NOS makes these hoses, but only in 24" length... I have seen shorter and custom lengths available on eBay for about 1/2 of what NOS charges.
The brass tee is available in any hardware or auto parts store. It will be a block of brass with 1/8” NPT female threads on both ends, and on one side.
Your "tee" now has two 1/8" NPT holes... you screw the FPSS into the "side" hole. You need to attach your -4AN (I'm assuming that's the size??) fuel supply to the "end" hole on the tee. If your hose has a -4AN end on it, you need a -4AN male to 1/8" NPT male fitting to screw into the brass tee.

Thanks Fred. I already have the 90 swivel fitting and the NOS 24" hose you're talking about from when you help me setup my Fuel Pressure Gauge. Hopefully finding another hose won't be a big hassle. Thanks again.
Yup, I'm running both and just tee'd it, after the fitting and short hose on the schrader of course. Got the parts at the local Earl's supplier. I've got the fuel solenoid on a custom bracket using one of the rear fuel rail bolts.
I followed Fred's directions, and it worked out great. I know this thread is alittle old, but I was just really excited because I sprayed for the first time last night and was instantly addicted.....that was with a 50-shot. Next up, 100.
