NX remote bottle opener question

My bottle is empty right now. I put the bottle opener on, and the instruction said to have the bottle open when you put the motor on. My question is, how do you fill/re-fill the bottle with a remote bottle opener? Also, I have another question. The opener is right next to the magnet of the speaker on the passanger side....by the spare tire. I have had a couple friends say this could cause trouble with the opener. Is this true?

I have a NX bottle opener on my TNT kit. I had to do some modifications to get it to fit my bottle. The reason that they want you to have the bottle open is, they want the opener installed on a bottle that is full and the valve open. If you feel, with the bottle empty, the "stem" portion that protrudes from the top of the bottle kind of floats. When the bottle is full and the valve is open, the "stem" is pushed up by the pressure of the bottle, that is the maximum height that the opener will be mounted, that's why the bottle needs to be full. If you mount it with the "stem" down, there will be too much force on the stem, and it may not open properly. Also, you have to take the opener off every time that you get it filled. Just leave th NX **** on the bottle and it can be opened/closed by hand with it. Good luck

So the system needs to be hooked up, and the bottle filled before you can put the opener on?

Right, you just need to get the bottle filled before you put the opener on. I guess, you don't have to have the complete system done yet.

i wouldnt think the magnet would be an issue. but you could always upgrade the stereo and get rid of the stock stuff in the back

I don't think that the magnet will cause any problems. I have my bottle mounted in the same place and I have not had any problems. There are a lot of people that mount their bottles in the same place and I think that if it was going to be a problem, we would have heard by now.
