Not your typical Multiple-Bottle Setup questions....
Not your typical Multiple-Bottle Setup questions....
Ok, I'm going to be putting a custom N2O kit on my 'bird come spring, but don't really want a 10# or 15# bottle hanging out. I'm thinking of putting 5 2# bottles in parallel (Easier to hide and package the smaller bottles) and running them all open when I'm spraying.
Comments??? Am I crazy, or am I on a feaseable track...
I'm thinking 125/150 Jetting on the N20; Wet setup.

Re: Not your typical Multiple-Bottle Setup questions....
What you are saying will work, but filling them would be a royal pain. I honestly think that you would be happier with a 10lb bottle tucked away in the spare tire well.... They fit in there rather nicely, with no spare tire of course.
You're also not going to get as efficient nitrous flow through 5 2lb bottle valves, as you would through one 10 lb high-flow valve. I would think that sending the nitrous through 5 valves, multiple Y-fittings, and many different lines that hook them all together, would restrict nitrous flow.
And a question: where would you hide 5 2lb bottles??? They would take up more room than a 10 pounder anyways.

You could probably buy 2 15# bottles for the price of 5 2# bottles.
I used to run a 15# bottle in my spare tire well, with two bottle brackets holding it in place. I also spaced the brackets so a 10# bottle would fit as well.

No this would not work.
Here is why. There is no way to keep the 5 bottles bottle pressure accurate.More than likely bottle pressure would be a problem causing the sytem to go rich and killing hp. 2lb bottles will take up more room than a single 10lb bottle.

Depends how much nitrous you are spraying.
100 shot....I could see a solid 6 maybe 8 quater mile runs
150 shot....I get about 4-5 runs before it goes inconsistent.
And I have a heater and a 10lb bottle

Re: Not your typical Multiple-Bottle Setup questions....
Yea, honestly those were my thoughts as well, I was worried about the consistent bottle temps, flow rates, and pressures.
And no, not too much F&F; I was looking at a couple Borguet bikes the other night at a show, and saw the dual 2# bottles inlaid into the tank; thus got me thinking...
Mainy because I am building a custom subwoofer enclosure in the DS, and PS sides of the well in the hatch; thus removing the bottle from back there was, in theory, going to be a pain in the ***... Seeing each sub weighs almost 40#s each, not to mention the enclosure.
Looks like I'm going to be custom fabing something back there to make bottle removal easier.. hmm...
I'm going with the 10# bottle anyways; I got one of my brother's old NOS kits, all I have to buy is the lines, fuel pump, and nozzle.
