Talking Nitrous guru's come inside !

Okay guys, I need a list of stuff that I should have on a NOS car?
I am going to order the basic kit from TNT (wet 75-150 adjustable)

I need a list of all the extra's to make the system safe and be correctly installed.

LIST: Purge,msd window switch, etc.
what else ?

Just FYI, NOS is a company (brand) which sells nitrous systems (Nitrous Oxide Systems). People will make fun of you for referring generically to nitrous as NOS. That's what they did in "The Fast and the Furious", pronouncing it "nawss". Call it nitrous, nitrous oxide, or N2O. Never say "nawss" except as a joke.

I know it's Nitrous Oxide Systems (It's just easier to type NOS (JOKE) / FNF) Believe me I have no intention of being rice !!

Here is the list of stuff on the car.

If someone could list out what I will need to go with the TNT system, I would appreciate.

List:

1. MSD window switch
2. Purge
3. Bottle heater
4. Blanket
5. MSD digital 6 with retard capability
6. NGK TR6 or Autolite 104
7. Digital nitrous pressure gauge
8. ETC........anyone want to add to the list of needed parts

Number one safety feature I would add is a fuel pressure safety switch, to shut off the nawwz if the pressure drops too low. Set it at around 40-42 psi, since the stock FP is supposed to be 43.5.

A WOT switch so that it can only come on at WOT is highly recommended.

Make sure all your ignition parts are in good shape, spray will raise the cylinder pressures, hence the need for better ignition.

Next on the list is traction aids, or at least better tires

I think the wot switch should come with your kit, don't want you to buy anything twice...

Can anyone fill in the prices or part numbers for this list? What kit did you end up with and how much total did it run. Thanks

Re: NOS guru's come inside !

Maybe I am just old fashioned but the methods I use are one hook up the solenoids to a master on/off switch then to a WOT switch that activates the n2o when you go WOT or my street setup all of the above except add a button in series to activate so that if the car spins you can let off the n2o and keep the pedal to the floor on motor. These have yielded very good times and I have gone 1.48 60's on some 26x10.5" ET streets. The timing retard, bottle heater and bottle gauge are a must though. But each to his own.

I completely forgot about this thread. My system has completely changed since that post. I am doing a much more high tech setup now. PDA / NX (new style controller) and all the other stuff you need to do nitrous.

There are a bunch of great vendors that will walk you through the process of what you need based on your application. I might suggest Dyno Tune out of Jersey. They have been a great help....
