NOS bottle heater wiring... Help please..

Anyone have the wiring for a NOS bottle heater. Got one used with no install directions. The relay has an orange, blue, red and green wire and the heater has 2 blacks coming out of it. I'll assume for now that the orange is a battery 12v (has a 20 amp fuse also), the red is a switched 12v, but unsure how the green and blue get wired along with the two blacks out of the heater. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I ran mine to my rear window defogger no extra wiring to run just made a harness long enough to connect to each side of the rear window just unplug the defroster and plug in the harness, it is a timed circuit and works very well for me, easy to just disconnect when not needed. Just an Idea for you.

So...

So are you saying that each black wire coming out of the heater just goes to each connector on your defroster? Pretty slick idea. I would guess you could still keep your defroster operational also if you just spliced the wires and kept the defroster connected. I'll keep that in mind. You don't by chance have the original wiring for the heater, do you? Thanks for the idea.

I don't think I would splice the two togeather unless you add a cut off switch so you could cut the defrost circuit when you use the bottle heater. Using both togeather would be alot of current for the switch. I dont have the original wiring I bought mine from someone as well. It is just a hot and a ground coming out of the heater I will try and find you one though. I just unhook mine after I finish racing and replug in the wires to the defrost and the is no need to add anything except the wire from the heater and a couple of flat spade connectors. Good Luck!

Redkillerz, just got done hooking up the heater to the defroster. Works great, and again, very slick idea. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just don't forget to unhook it when you are not going to be using it and rehook your defrost. Glad to share.
