Talking nos ??

okay guys i bought a 94 trans am gt a4 about 3 months ago and i know this question comes up all the time, but my good friend has a 2000 Saleen SC that runs 12.9's consitently, me on the other hand run low 14's, i want to at least come close to him with a nitrous set up, i have a 255 fuel pump, and msd 6al box which i know are recomended for use with nos. Which kit is the best to use, wet or dry, and from what company. Keep in mind the car does have a 115,000 miles on it. I appreciate all the help.

Yea, you will get better answers in the N20 section.
But with the Auto I would be sure it is strong and not slipping before you spray the car with 115k on it.

Well by the looks of your subject, "NOS??", it looks like you already know what brand your getting. I'm just kidding but I hate when people call nitrous(N2O) NOS. NOS is a brand not a name for nitrous. I guess I can blame the little ricer kids for that crap though.

Anyway I would recommend you getting the NX wet kit for your car and make sure that you get all the safety stuff to go with it too. If you want more info go to the N2O section and look around, you'll find out everything that you need to know.

I call it NOS...I use NOS brand, and I will call it NOS forever.
HAte me if you want but i spray NAWZ !!!!!
And im not a stinkin RICER, WTF cares what I call it ?
are you going to hate me cuz i call my car a "T-A" instead of saying " TRANS-AM" ?? .. Bite me......

-About the NOS kit I have the Holley NOS 5176 dry kit, its adjustable from 75-150 HP( altho being modded to a dual stage 300 wet kit)
It comes with inline fuel pump, throttle actuator switch, and everything else you need. It has worked flawlessly for me. I trust the origional NOS systems......

oh yeah....NOS brand actually outperforms its competitors especially in the upper HP systems. NOS is more consistant than other system such as NX and Nitrous works.

NOS is still the #1 selling brand for a reason

First of all I said I was just kidding with the guy so you can go stick it! And I still do think it sounds pretty gay when someone says NAWZ. As far as saying TA, thats fine cause it short for Trans Am. What the hell is NAWZ short for.....nothing!! It's just a gay way to say nitrous and I KNOW that a lot of people agree with me on this one. I don't know of one mechanic, engine builder or anyone besides a punk teenager with a coffee can muffler on a civic that calls it that. But call it what you want, to each is own.

No offense to anyone, but i'm just speaking my mind.

N20 question

Well back to the guys' question:

I would get a wet kit, doesn't really matter what brand. I would suggest NOS or NX. Really all you need to be concerned with is that you kick that mustangs A$$

The only other thing that I can see that you may need is some kinda timing retard device. I use a Crane Cams Hi-6r with TRC-2. This will retard the timing when the N20 is hit preventing detonation.

Good Luck,

Wheel man, I think you could run that number or better without the juice! Get some headers, gears and some drag radials and I am sure you could run 12.'s easily. Then get the N2O later for insurance.
