Unhappy Nitrous Surges on Full Bottle, Help

I was using my nitrous for the first time in about 2 months yesterday. My bottle pressure was between 900-950 at the time. I have a Walbro 255lph inline pump, and the bottle had just been filled.
When I hit the gas in second I didn't feel anything that suggested a problem, but 3rd was a diferent story. After the gas had been on for about one second I started to feel a surging or "cutting out" feeling. So I immediately turned off the nitrous.
I'm running NOS 5176, dry kit. 150shot.
Any ideas?

Now that you say that my car pulls rich codes often. Like every 100-400 miles it randomly throws a pV172 SES.
i think its rich bank 1.
It even throws them when I'm not spraying, what could be causing it to do this?

Ignition misfire (plugs, wires, shorts) will cause a bank to run rich... especially under load conditions.
