Nitrous - propane and NOS 58MM TB
Nitrous - propane and NOS 58MM TB
I'm just wondering what would happen if I put a Y prior to my NOS TB and injected nitrous and propane through the throttle body? If I upgraded one of my nitrous solenoids to a 250HP capable one I should be able to do a dual stage 250 shot through the TB with the 2nd stage also adding propane to the mix to keep it within spec.
So 100 HP off the line dry kit 5176 - totally SAFE
Then 150 HP additional nitrous with propane injection as well at around 4500 rpm or so.
Would the 1000psi of the nitrous prohibit the 100 to 200 psi of propane from entering the TB?
Can you Y two nitrous solenoids into one line towards the TB and still get the extra nitrous for the 2nd stage?
What do you guys think?
No, I'm not taking drugs today!

Here's a crappy diagram I just made to help you invision this:

To be honest, running a Y's like that will back feed the high pressure into the other lines and effectively not let the propane out. 1000psi will override 200 with ease,so i dont see how the propane would get in the mix,it would go way lean and boom.
Plus the 2 nitrous 'noids together wouldnt achieve what you wanted.

That's friggen insane!
I sounds like a great idea to me, it sounds like some thing I would think of.
It would make a damn near cryogenic intake charge.
When the Nitrous Oxide depressurizes from 1,100psi it cools to about -127'F and LP Gas depressurizes I think it cools to around -200'F.
It takes a lot of BTU's to super heat LP from a luquid to a gas, so If you could interduce it into the intake as a luquid it would start absorbing senceable heat from the intake air (and its self) untill the Luquid propane absorbed enough latent heat to start boiling then it would start super heating (luquid to gas = boiling, temp of gas statrs riseing = super heat.) the boiling point of propane is like -200'F.
NO2 and H8C5 would act a lot different than Nitrous Oxide and Gasoline.
NO2LP would be a lot cooler than NO2 and gas so it would fight off detonation a little better but LP dosen't have antinock properties like 100 or so octaine gas.
I wouldn't know where to start, if you start messing around with this I would like to know what hapens.
Ever think about Nitrous Oxide with gas and propane?
That might work even better.
EDIT: turn the LP tank up side down and purge the gas from the line so you can spary luquid and not gas when you try it.

propane is not that good for gas engines. thats why you dont see kits for them. Propane is for diesal. If you want to go insane try spraying co2.
Sorry i guess they do make kits just never seen one.
