Nitrous Plate Question

Well i recently picked up what i was told was a twin 58mm nitrous plate off ebay---now that i have it its about a 54mm plate----my is tuned with a 58mm tb on it now (no nitrous)---just wondering if using this 54mm plate will hurt my cars performance in anyway or will it be minimal that i wont even notice it?---i was going to take car to the track w the plate off and w plate on i figured thatd be my only real way to tell--just figured id post this hear first---any help would be great thanks

Unless you are making over 500HP at the flywheel on straight motor, it isn't going to make any difference. The 58mm TB is overkill for anything less, and the guys that built my engine proved it on the engine dyno. Engine reached a peak of 496HP with the 58mm throttle only 77% open, and opening it even further did not increase HP.

Thats the answer i was hoping for--- its actually a 52mm plate i just miced it----- my car makes 375/390 to ground on motor----i know 58 is overkill just got a good deal on it at the time-----wasnt to sure if it would mess anything up--- i appreciate the help

The 58 mm throttle body is more forgiving on a M6 car. On an A4 car some adjustments in the transmission tables should be made to compensate for it.
