Nitrous line routing with tunnel mount?

I have a Nitro Daves tunnel mount on the car in my sig. Where are you guys running the nitrous hose? Under carpet or undre car? What are you doing for a blow down tube? Have a nice car don't want to cut it up?

You can either go under the car from one of the rubber plugs under the rear seats or just stuff it under the shifter console and out threw the firewall. Im using a braided line from dyno tune for a blow down, but you need to drill a hole to attach the end of the line to the body.

It has to vent outside the car. You drill a hole in the floor and use an -8AN bulkhead fitting through the floor, to connect the braided SS line.

Nitrous is not flammable, until it reaches more than 600*F and breaks down into elemental oxygen and nitrogen. It doesn't matter where you vent it to, as long as its outside the cockpit. Don't aim the flow directly at anything that could freeze, and don't aim it directly at the exhaust pipe.

You vent it from the cockpit because a rapid release of a large mass of N2O will cause all the moisture in the air to condense, leaving you sitting in a cloud that you can't see through. It will also suffocate you, since it will displace all the air in the cockpit..... you will however have a smile on your face as your pass out.

I'm not aware of any kit. I have an -8AN hose that a shop made for me, and used an NOS bulkhead fitting in the floor of the hatch, since my bottle is in the back. But the same arrangement will work for a bottle mounted on the tunnel. I've got the tunnel mount, but never quite got around to moving my bottle forward.

You can do it one of two ways, the first way is to lay something, such as a piece of cardboard down to cover everything. The 2nd way, which is the way I do it, is after you have done it so many times, you do it very quickly, which minimizes the oil mess.

On topic though, I had the same mount for my kit. I ran the line down through a slit in the carpet, and out the drain plug behind the drivers seat under the rear bucket. From there I zip tied it to the fuel lines. For the blowdown tube, be careful when you are making your hole, because the parking brake linkage is directly below the tunnel.

Look at it this way, if you ever go to the track, you HAVE to have a blow down.....and its a safety thing, why not add it?
