Post Nitrous and Hypertech Chip

On my 93z I have to run the hypertech chip because it removed the speed limiter. W/o the chip the car wont go over 105. Its the stage 2 chip, how much more timing is this giving me?
What risks do I run having this on and spraying a 75 wet shot?
Is there a better alternative to the hypertech, I'd like to find a stock 93 chip for the zrated tire cars so I can avoid this all together.

I'm not sure with the speed density (how much advance it gives it) but I pulled my Power Programing out. It does advance the timing and thats no good with spray. Sounds like you might need to get a custom chip, Just get that hypertech out before you spray it.

You can get a custom chip from:
www.pcmforless.com
or you can directly e-mail Alvin (he is the one who do the chips for 93s for www.pcmforless.com) at
Rooster433@aol.com

hope it helps

I ran the same chip for about 2 years in my car (for the same reason). I used a 100shot compucar plate without a problem and without pulling out timing. You should have no problem at all with a 75hp shot.

I've always ran 93 oct. gas of course.

If you're in doubt, call Hypertech and ask them what the max advance is over stock from 3000 to 6000rpm. I dont think you'll find the advance on the hypertech chip quite as aggressive as some of the other manufacturers like Fastchip or maybe Jet. I'm currently running a fastchip which has quite a bit of advance, but I'm not to familar with Jet. Regardless, you aint running either of those chips.

As I mentioned, I ran the same Hypertech chip in my 93 for approx 2 years with a larger shot, and experienced no problems. But if you still dont feel safe, send the chip back to Hypertech and have them pull some timing out, or buy a retard box. If you pull the chip out and hit that speeed limiter on juice, then you stand a great chance of scattering the motor.

If you were to damage your motor with the hypertech chip and a 75 shot, then I suspect you'd have other problems, instead of detonation. Like leaning out. I really dont beleive that the hypertech has enough advance to worry about. But hell, get it from the horses mouth and just get Hypertech on the phone before you make a decision.
