newbie needs advice on N2O ?'s

ok heres what i have, 95 A4 3.23 with a few mods -- tb bypass, hypertech pp, 160 stat, flowmaster, fuel pressure reg, about 170k miles never apart lt1 , decent shifting tranny with stock converter.
I cam across a very good deal one a nos noszle direct port type kit for alomost nothing, the kit was for a 4.6 00 mustang jetted 125hp , it came with every thing the 10lb bottle, wot switch, window swith for the coil pack ign, fuel psi switch, purge kit, every thing else, well the window switch i called nos about and have conclued it will not work with the opti, the window swith however is the same they sell for a lt1 im not sure about the fuel pressere switch but i know its preset at 35psi, well i got every thing but the window switch wired up ( I plan on getting the correct window switch soon) and had to raise the fuel rails up to get the little do-dads under the injectors doing this put them in a little akward angle then stock, i didnt cut the crossover tube so longer bolts was all i need to bolt it them right on in the stock mounting holes but the are just about 7/8'' higher the stock. I also installed trs plugs gapped at .036

Ok i get in fire the engine off , it runs smoothly, no fuel leaks but a funny hesitation when u back off the throttle from a slight throttle, my guess is the new angle the injectors are in is causeing this??
So now onto my first shot of juice, i go down the road in a straight, power on the system increase my rpms to 3000 and flat foot it, a slight stumble(short pause almost as if every thing just stops ) then boom its spinning mad like never before with the front nose perked in the air and into 2nd before i could think to let off of it while it shifted and spun to the end of second gear , where as i let off the throttle completly. I liked it.so i tried it out agian this time rolling in second at 3000 then flat foot with the idea to keep traction, wrong it just gave the stumble then just started turning the tires.

before N2O the car ran good for what little is done to it, its even got stock intake system best run in it in the 1/8 was 8.99 with like 2.1 60 first and only sub 8 sec slip every recived in the car, now i imagine it could be a very different storey, well i wanted to make sure i wasnt just dreaming all the new found power so i call a bud up hes got a solid 320 rwhp m-6 car,so we go for a little test run about a 1/8 or so, i just kinda eased off ,,... really easy off he jumped right out like 5 cars or so on me, i let him just so i didnt hit wot before i got to 3000 rpms then i layed down on it i was pulling on him like a raped ape right up side by side by the end of the straight,
Ok i know its geeting long but just to let u know what all happend, Yes its blowing what seems to be rich smoke, i dont know really this is my first N2O toy, there no knock, Whats causing the stumble should there be a stumble?what fuel prssure are others running? also my bottle was full and about 55 degrees or so i know this is low could that cause this stumble whats going to happen when i get a bottle heater?also i dont have a gauge either, does this seem like a normal 125 shot i mean it was more then i was expecting i thought after it was tuned right it might run as good as it does now right off the bat, i can tell every thing isnt just right with it yet at all. Ok guys give me some replies what to do next??any and all ideas please.........

the stumble could very well be pressure related. get a heater and a guage. pull a plug or 2 and make sure there are no black "freckles" on them, thats from detonation.

do you have a purge kit. a friend of mine used nitrous on his car w/o a purge and said it stumbled on activation due to air in the n2o line hitting before the n2o. hope this helps, i will be installing my system soon.

I am going to take a shot at this. I am not sure if the injectors on your car are angled stock. If they are then i bet you have a vacuum leak at the injectors. If they are angled and you rasied the rail and left the cross over tube the same length then the injectors are not at the same angle they were before. This may cause them to not seat properly. Just a thought and my .02

Cool...

I grew up in Morganton, NC...and we always group together for a little Sat. night cruise to Patton Ave...

I had a '95 Z28 M6 that saw Patton several times in '95 & '96...

I've since moved to Raleigh, NC...but kept the car all these years and am about to wrap up my 383 stroker project...

I have been to Ashville several times since then...primary to stay with the wife in a Bed and Breakfast while visiting the Biltmore...

I've recently been checking out the N20 forum because the 383 is build to hold a shot...I'm thinking of a 150 or 200 shot from an NX kit...

I still have much to learn about the juice!!!

Take care,
TIM

It's Artic White...The bar behind the T-tops and the Mirrors are all white...Only Black is on the T-tops...

The group that usually came up included a Silver Z28 '95, a Red '95 Cobra, and a Blue '93 Hatch back Stang...

One of the things I remember most about are trips to Patton was that it was the place that I first saw a Camaro Cop...Ashville had a couple White Camaro Cops crusin' Patton as well...

Nothing like remembering the Good Ol' Days...

Take care...
