New To N20

Ok fellas Iam new nitrous I just bought a NX wet kit for my 130,000 94Z its basically stock except for minor mods: cai, 3.73, A4, HPP+. Iam wondering what else I have to do? Should I still use the hypertech program or return to stock? Should I get bigger fuel system (only planning to run 100-150 shot)? And about spark plugs I have iridium NGK plugs, what gap should I use? any other useful info would help out alot thanks!!

You could go upto 125 hp safely, if you want to go 150 then get a bigger fuel pump. Remmeber NX rates by rwhp so the 150 is around 175 fwhp. I hear the stock fuel pump is maxed out at 450 hp.
I don't know about the iridium but I guess they are similar to platinum which have a small tip that could get realy hot and cause detonation. Most people are more comfortable running regular copper plugs like the ngk tr6 gapped at 0.35".

What about timing? I hear people talking alot about timing. Also would the hypertech programmer need to be uninstalled or is it ok to keep it? Anyone else use iridium plugs with nitrous?

With this power level you don't realy need to pull any timing. After the 100 level you can start taking 2 degree per 50 hp.
Just to be extra safe, disable the engine tune with the hpp. I've compared stock and hpp timing tables, and out of the hundreds of cells in that table there are only 6 cells that were slightly different.

I did some research on the iridium and they say its better than plantnium and is fine to use with nitrous. I currently have the gap set at .050 should i set it at .035 like you said? Should I get colder plugs?

Re: New To N20

i got a 150,000 94 Z-28 with a-4. with 2800 stall and 3.73 gears. i used to run nx wet system with 150 shot and bone stock engine and stock fuel pump every weekend with no problem at all. don't use a plantnium plugs coz they melt with nitrous use. i'm using NGK tr6.

i also was using the hpp. leave the shif point stock coz i tried to play with them with no good with nitrous.power shifting was on. i adjust the gears ratio and tire size. i ran best of 12.4 @ 114. with 1.9 60ft.
