new car with nitr4ous question

I just bought a 94 camaro LT1 and it has a N20 kit installed. it looks like a dry kit since there is only one line going into the nozzle. it is mounted right before the tb plates after the Mass Air flow sensor...Is this right?? I always thought you put it before the MAF sensor and let it flow through it

thanks
Dustin

Im pretty sure you want to mount it between the TB and the MAF as it is....i have a wet kit and im sure its the same for a dry kit.

Ya, the lt1 dry kit works like that. The ls1 dry kits usually mount BEFORE the maf.

I believe that is why at some point you will need to upgrade inejctors to make up for the extra fuel.

No, The dry system mounts between the air box and the MAF. The nitrous needs to flow threw the MAF in order to make the fuel adjustment.
A wet system adds fuel with the nitrous so there is no need to flow it threw the MAF. Hope this helps.

NOOOO! You will greatly increase your chances of blowing your car up by doing this. A dry kit runs a vacuum line from the silonoid to the fuel pressure regulator. Extra vacuum is applied to the regulator to increase fuel pressure.

I reccomend NEVER spraying pre meter

This is correct on the NOS, Zex and I think the Edelbrock dry kits. Not sure if other companies are using a nitrous regulator to increase fuel pressure. Check to see if there is a blue regulator (if its an NOS kit) coming up from between two nitrous solenoids. If it does then here is a link for the instructions
