Need help on whether NOS is a good idea

HI
I have a 94 TA, automatic that I want to keep as original as possible without doing engine modifications. My thought was adding NOS but not sure if thats a good idea. I just want to get about another 75HP.
The car has about 75,000 miles and the only mods are a CAI and 3.73 gears.
Can someone tell me the pros and cons of adding NOS to a stock engine, I dont plan on racing, just want somemore power from a rolling acceleration. If you recommend NOS for my setup, what type of kit is the best.
Thanks

My 94 Z28 has about the same milage as your TA and when I istalled my Nos kit the only problem I had was my Transmission went south with in 2 weeks a stock 4L60E will not like the extra HP and espcially TQ that the Nos will give you, other than that no problems at all.

I have a Nos 5151 wet kit that is for TPI engines and it works with a plate that goes between the TB and intake it fit well with allmost no mods and I am very happy.

Who sells that kit and how much HP did you gain with the NOS.
Lastly, did the tranny go south because from a rolling acceleration or from a dead stop acceleration

NOS makes the kit and you can buy it from www.summitracing.com
or www.thunderracing.com I was jetted for 100hp and it is hard on the trans either way , mine broke shifting from 1-2,

nitrous express is the way to go!the plate systems have a good general idea but the way they inject n2o and fuel into the plenum it does not atomize enough before it hits the first 2 runners(2&4 cyl.)the nozzle is highly recommended it atomizes within 3" of the tip giving you a safer mix, forget the dry nitrous systems thats a dangerous no brainer system without a DFI set up

NOS is the Famous Blue bottle and NX is Nitrous xpress the white bottle, they all have the same adjustable power shots you just have to buy your jets accordingly,
Most people do recomend the NX nozzle systems, I personally do not have any expirience with NX only NOS, you can buy NX at from the 2 vendor websites that I listed above.

feel free to ask what ever questions you need to, were all here to help. and I was in your place a few years ago myself.
