Need HELP FASSSSSST Please!

I am trying to get to the track but I am having trouble getting my bottle heater wired up. I keep blowing fuses.

I have a NOS brand bottle heater. The question I have is: Does one of the wires have to be earth grounded and the other run to my toggle switch(power)? Does it matter which one gets grounded? Both of the wires are white?

Thanks,
Jeff

PS, is the thermostatic switch internal?

You should use a relay. Its too high of amperage to just run it directly off the fuse panel.

I'd say you need a relay, and maybe larger wire to your relay and heater. I am running 10 guage wire to mine.

D@m it I had a feeling that was the reason. Oh well, now I need to find the wiring diagram for a bottle heater? Anyone have one showing the relay?

Thanks,
jeff

Talking

I just bought a cheap relay from advance for my heater, I think it was $3. I should have a diagram on the box, pretty simple.

I picked up a couple of relays last night and drew out my schematic. Hopefully this will cure my dilema.

Thanks,
Jeff
