Need help with bottle presure drop!
Need help with bottle presure drop!
sup guys
I went to dyno my truck with th 225 shot dry/wet 2 stage and when i had the NX heater on the presure drop faster from 1050 psi to 850-900 psi . But when i don't use the heater and the presure is at like 950 then the presure drop to around 875-900 psi . I have a 15 lb bottle . What else should i do , should i put 2 bottles and not run heaters and tune it without the heaters ? If it drops a little on the dyno which is a short period what about at the track which will be a 1/4 mile spraying . I used for the NX kit the jest 62/31 and for the tnt dry the jet 47 . I think its a little more then 225 shot . The NX jetting is still too fat . I'm running it at 55 psi fuel presure . And that was with 10 degrees retard just to be safe . Please let me know what else i could do about the bottle presure . thanx

What you are seeing is normal. The higher the pressure is when you start the more pressure drop you will have. In fact some guys that run limited bottle classes tune their kits to run around 850psi so they have less pressure drop. You could go to two bottle it would help with the pressure drop but if you start at 950 and only drop 50psi that is not bad. What bottle valve are you using? What size feed line? If you can go to a higher flowing valve and feed line that will help reduce bottle pressure drop aswell. It won't be as good as putting another bottle in the car but it will help.
I have NX regular bottle that comes with most kit and i use D4 line and split to the two nitrous solenoids . I know 50 psi is not that much but what about when going a whole run in the 1/4 mile ? It only drop 50 psi but thats because it unly rev a moment at the dyno .
So i was thinking i will go rich on the top end but i don't think i would that much power rigth ?
thanx guys
