Need answer to running a big shot

check sig for mods. Strong bottom end. The pistons are custom Ross with the top ring moved down(less heat with the spray).

Here's the question?

Why couldn't I run a big shot on a high compression motor(12.5.1). I've all ways ran a 175 shot, but with the new combo was going to up it to a 250(will not stay there) for the track visits. I always thought, when running the spray, even with high compression, your ok. Was I miss informed.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with running lots of spray with high compression. Just make sure your timing is cool, and you are running good gas. I have a 14.1 motor, and run a 300 shot. It will run good. Just make sure your total timing is inline, and you dont detonate. I dont want to give a specific timing retard, cause it really depends on a lot of different things, but if you give me some more info on your motor, liking total timing, kind of heads, brand of N2O kit, etc, I could give you some recomendations.
