N2O Troubles???

I've been trying to use nitrous now a few times at the track and every time I use it, it causes the tranny to not shift and it hits the rev limiter, this is also followed by it sending the PCM into limp home mode. I have all the usual safety devices installed..... fuel pressure cut-off....... window switch.......full throttle switch. All this stuff works on the street when I tested it ... but when I go to the track it just doesn't seem to want to work. I'm baffled???
If anybody has had an experience with this, or even some thoughts, I'd like to hear from you.

Thanks.

maybe its too much power for the tranny to handle. I've heard of this happening before, but its never happened to me. Then again, that's because I don't try to spray through the shifts because I was worried about this exact thing.

BTW, didn't you go lean when you hit the rev limiter while your spraying?? I'd watch out for that if I were you.

Re: N2O Troubles???

I do believe I said that I have a window switch! It shuts the nitrous off at 5400 rpm. It actually seems to give me the "check engine light" before the tranny shifts..... I believe that the PCM is going into limp home mode and causing the wierd shifting. But I'm no expert. It's just frustrating getting all set up, testing it (on the street) and then it never works right at the track????
