Re: MSD digital window switch install/wiring

does the red wire go to the battery or just a 12v ignition power source?

Ive got everything that NX comes with....just a few question, Im using the digi window switch and the digi 6 plus ignition box.....

where does the white wire go? and where does the yellow wire go when running with the digi 6 plus and WOT switch?

I know ther grey is not used and the red goes to power and the black goes to ground...

Im not at all smart when it comes to wiring and need all the help I can get.

thanks

heres what I got so far, I mounted my Digi switch inside the car.....I ran the red wire to power, the black wire to ground, tied off the grey wire(not used) and ran the yellow and white wire into the engine compartment.....Im at a stand still......I still have yet to mount the digi 6 box...

That's another reason why I hate the MSD...you either need to use the wire as a ground, or hook up another relay that the MSD turns on and off, then use the N/O contacts on the relay as I stated earlier. That's the problem you run into running several things in series, if more than one supplies the ground.

Re: MSD digital window switch install/wiring

after speaking with MSD I am now totally confused.

I know where all the wires go except, the yellow wire from the Window switch and the pink wire from the 6+ box.

MSD told me to disconnect my ground for my NX replay and connect the window switch yellow wire to that. to connect the 6+ pink wire to the positive side of the nitrous selonoid.

I told them I have a WOT switch but that didnt matter and were like, OK and?

didnt say about hooking any of those wires to that.

So what do I do?

Re: MSD digital window switch install/wiring

I called NX and they told me about the same thing as MSD.
The yellow wire from the digital window switch goes where I would have grounded my FPSS and then the white wire off the relay would complete the ground and that goes to the other side of the FPSS.

And the pink wire from the 6+ box T's into the positive side of my WOT switch. WHich is also the wire coming from my activation switch going to the WOT switch.

Im slowly figuring this stuff out...I told ya I wasnt good with wiring.

Re: MSD digital window switch install/wiring

Is your WOT switch a mechanical one or electronic? The mechanical ones are simple, but sometimes the electronic one complicates things if you have multiple accessories all setup to supply ground.

Re: MSD digital window switch install/wiring

yeah its electrical. I found all kind of diagrams but none that I could follow easily and none with a digital 6 and digital window switch. So I was stuck but calling NX and MSD solved that I hope...gonna do it the way they say and hope it works.....cause I would hate to try and track down the souce if it didnt. I hate wiring!!!!!
Im in the process right know running my wires for the box....I mounted it inside the car along with my window switch so I can adjust without having to get out of the car. they are both attached to the console on opposite sides

I asked MSD about the window switch and they said that it has a built in tach and it will scroll thru the rpm as I drive..does it? if it does I think thats pretty cool!
