MSD Digital 6 Box Mounting
MSD Digital 6 Box Mounting
Hey, i was wondering where yall that have this box have mounted it in their cars. Im having clearance problems if mounted on the strut tower, the firewalls a pain in the ***, so any suggestions on where to mount would be apprieciated.
Re: MSD Digital 6 Box Mounting
I just mounted mine last week right behind the fuse box on the driver's side in the engine compartment. I faced the dials, etc toward the brake lines. The fuel lines run across the upper corner of the unit. It was the only place I found that had enough surface space to acomodate the Dig 6. Hope this helps. I can take pics and email them if you pm me.
Re: MSD Digital 6 Box Mounting
i mounted mine in the same spot..i also put some rubber extra rubber tubing around my fuel lines to protect them from getting scratched/split on the end of the msd box

there's a pic of mine on the last page. Moved the fuse box under the msd, made a plate to mount it on and just screwed it to the original fuse box bracket. Not sure if my 6AL is the same size as the digital or not though.

I did the same thing for my Mallory unit. One other option is to relocate the battery to the trunk and mount your box where the battery was.
