MSD 3 step retard? Need help.

I am wanting to spray 200-250HP on my LT1 and so far I have gotten by using some C12 in the tank and keeping full timing with no problems but I have only sprayed up to 175HP and I need to pull a little timing for 200+HP. I already have the MSD 3 stage retard box so I want to use it but the instructions say I need to hook it up to the distributor trigger wire and I have no idea which wire this would be. Any help greatly appreciated. I am also wanting to do this so I can leave a little easier on the n2o. IE more retard less violent. BTW went try out my new 325/50/15" ET Street Radials with 150NX last nite,1.52 60' (10.31@130mph)and it worked great but I am at the limit on leaving with any more power so I would like to take some timing out and spray my second stage which hasn't been used yet. TIA

No one did this before? I guess I can look up the wiring diagram and fiqure it out but was hoping somebody knew which wire I needed to hookup the box to the distributor with. Later

Do you have a msd ignition box or will you be running the retard as an add on?

What part of LA are you in?
