mph gain with a 100 shot?

what are you guys gaining with a 100 shot? once i figure out my high end miss im going to be putting the bottle back on.

what im trying to figure out what i need to do about gear/tires, right now im running 4.30s with 26. 11.5 15 hoosiers. i got to pull the rear end soon, and i have a set of 3.70s i could put in, but rather get the extra mph from tire size and not gear change.

Whats your RPM limit? Does your car make power to like 65-6700 RPMs? That would be handy to know. Your setup looks pretty similar to Kryckter's old car. His ET and MPH is about the same as yours. I believe he had some issues when he started spraying but I think he did like 128 on the 150 shot. So I would say mid 120's is where you would be on a 100 shot. I would imagine that you have the RPM capability to run to 7000 for the traps since your are already running a 4.30 gear. My calculations lead me to think if ya kept the 26" tire, and went through the traps @ 125 you would be at 7000. If you want your RPM's lower through the traps, or want more MPH capability you can just throw some 28" tires on. I don't think you will want 3.70's with a setup like yours.

EDIT: I see your running a stock bottom end, maybe I was too quick to assume your car makes power that high, or that you wanna rev that high. If so please correct me.

7k might be pushing it, i have no issue spinning it to 6500 though.
if im only trapping around 125-127 i should be fine with a 28 inch tire and the 4.30s

yeah the 3.70s will really kill my n/a times.

Yeah, I think your correct. I think the 4.30's are perfect for your setup. The 28" tire might help with your 60ft as well. If anything, you may just have to go through the traps 1-200RPM's higher than you would like.

I think the 3.70's would kill your N/A times as well. I think I would rather be alittle overgeared than undergeared.

What about me? 4.10s 7200rpm limiter, bogging off the line it ran an 11.7@118. What will the 150,200,250, and 300 put me at with the direct port setup i am getting? Assuming i can hook it up.

http://www.ramblerman.com/blazer/gearcalc.htm

The third calculator down lets you play with tire size and calculates effective gear ratio.

I would think on a 200 if your spraying of the line you would trap somewhere between 130-135...and def more on a 300 shot.
