Question Mounting Of Bottle In Cockpit - Need Your Install Pics And Ideas ----->

Gang, thanks for taking the time out to respond to this post.

I have a 1997 Z28 droptop and currently have my 15 lbs. bottle mounted in the trunk laying from left to right of the rear.

I'd like to move the bottle from where it's currently mounted in the trunk to the inside of the cockpit. I have seen this install in the past and really liked it, but was a bit nerve-racked at a bottle full of N2O sitting behind me. I'd like to mount it in the rear somewhere behind my seat. I have been running without my rear seats for over a year and have no intentions of ever putting them back, so the rear is completely open for installtion ideas. I like to have the bottle right where I can monitor the pressure and to control it from being open and closed. Sure I can spend another couple hundred and get the remote bottle opener...but that's not my intentions. I'm not too confident in it always working. I'd rather be in full charge of my bottle.

So, if you do have any installation pics, site, write-ups, or suggestions...please post a response.

Thanks gang...

I have mine mounted between the rear seats. You can reach back and open it this way.I think it looks good out in the open.

Thanks for the response. Hmmm, do you have any pics of this? I don't have seats in, but I understand that you mounted it on the hump...I'm curious how you installed it there though. Like how you got the bolts through and if you used different hardware.

Thanks...

Let's see if I can remember the site for mine:

Sure enough I screwed it up.

Install was pretty easy. I had to make a piece of channel steel to level off the seat depression... took ten minutes. With one bottle it might not even need that.

Right on.....good pics NOSFed!

I like the idea...I don't know how that will work with a 15lb bottle though.

Sounds good...I'd like to see those pics. Though this is not the spot I want to install the bottle in...it will give an idea if my other plan does not work out.

Thanks..
