Micro Switch For Second Stage With M6??
Micro Switch For Second Stage With M6??
Where/How can I mount a momentary switch for my second stage with a M6??
I was thinking one of the shifters with the button on them, but I dont really like the look of them.
I thought about my horn buttons on the wheel, but well, then I lose my horn, and as its my only car I would like to have my horn still. I also thought about making it so that once the N2O is armed it will disable the horn and make it for the second stage.... but thats beond my knowledge.
So how can I do this?
PS, how much timming should I pull while spraying? (first stage 75, second stage 75, total 150 shot)

There are many different styles.
The T-Handle with the momentary buton on the left side.
The B&M **** with the button in the center.
And I believe Hurst has the sidewinder style with the button sort off the left and up on their ****.
You can use a microswitch at the TB to activate the first stage and the button on the shifter to activate the second stage. I would still wire in a window switch on the second stage or a timming retard on the second stage when the total nitrous hit is larger.

B&M... cant find the one with the button on it.
Hurst.... Can find the ones with the button on the top with the changable writing around the button, but cant find a "sidewinder"
if its anything like the stock hurst **** but with a button, that would be great.

I know you said you don't like the look of them, but this would be an easy way of getting it accomplished, perhaps you have not seen every style of pushbutton shifter.

I use a pushbutton with a cord. My first stage uses a TPS switch then I have a fairly long cord with a button under my driver's seat. When I get ready to race I simply get the button from under my seat and hold it in my left hand along with the steering wheel. As soon as I nail it the first stage is in then I only use the second stage if its needed to win. I like having control over the second stage so I decide when or if to bring it in depending on need or traction. I had a machinist at a place I used to work make a thin aluminum handle and I mounted the button in the end. Then when I am done racing I just coil up the cord and put it under my seat and its completely invisible.
