Hey guys, merry christmas too, but i am leaning toward puttin nitrous on my car. I have hooker cat-back, bbk headers,cai, and 3.73's on the way. The car has 127,XXX on body but the top end was just rebuilt due to a head gasket, the bottom end was good so didnt have to mess with it. But too the question, i am gunna eventually send the computer (ecu or pcm) lol whateva u wanna call it, to madz28 or pcmforless, but what they do to the computers after they tune them, can you run nitrous through it or is it a bad idea?I am only wanna run a 50 shot and probably never but 100 if some one is talk lol u know what i mean I want a to run NX express.

Just tell the tuner how you plan on spraying the car and they'll take care of the timing and anything else. I've been sparying a 125 shot on a mail order tune for 2 years now with no problems. I see that your from the Fort, I live just north of you in Auburn. There are a few of us from here that meet at hooters when the weather is good, and also run our cars down at muncie.

That's cool if you want to make the trip up here sometime. We usually get together once a month on a Sunday. And if not we will have to meet up at muncie.

 

yeah deffinately, i know a bunch of guys, during the spring and summer we all hang out at Don Halls on coliseum. Do you hang out at the hooters here in the fort? I dont know if u have seen my car? post some pics of yours guys?

I think you'd be better off having the car tuned for NA performance, then pulling timing out when you spray.

 

Yeah I understand that, but i kinda wanna not have to send my pcm back twice. Unless i can find a cheap pcm from someone. How much timing would i have to pull.

Car got like 108,000 on her. No I haven't really done anything internally for it. Other than when I did my cam swap I redid the whole vavletrain while I was at it.

 

I see, I was gunna do a cam but then decided against it because of how much work it too. I wanna do nitrous, but right now i am leaning toward 3.73 and some other tiny mods and then buying a 70-73 camaro to restore and due up.

ps- what did u run in the quarter with ur nitrous if u had it before the cam?

 

Like the first I really got to try to bottle the opti starting acting up bad. The best I ran was a 13.6 @ 105.

 

Was that with the cam you installed or was that without? I ran a 14.4 stock when i bought mine and since have got exhaust,cai,throttle bypass(little i know lol)headers but not on, and hopen 3.73's soon before summer. I wanna do nitrous but i think i may hold off too see what i can find in the way of older camaro or trans am. Plus i just bought a trip to cancun for spring break!wasnt cheap lol but gunna be fun.
