LT1 TPS Wiring?

Hi,

I'm going to be installing a ZEX nitrous system soon on my '96 WS6, and I've located the Throttle Position Sensor on the left side of the Throttle Body as you're looking at it.

There are 3 wires: Blue, Grey, and Black.

I'm assuming Black goes to ground, however which one is the one that goes to the ECU to tell it how open the throttle is? I need to splice into this wire and run it to Zex's Nitrous Management Unit (it's a WOT switch that only activates the nitrous at WOT, along with housing the fuel and nitrous solenoids).

I know there's a ground, a 5-volt reference wire, and the wire that reads the TP and sends the output in voltage to the ECU, so if I had to guess, I'd guess the one I want is the Blue wire - but I'd like to make sure before I splice into it.

Obviously, once I've done this I can check it with a voltmeter to make sure I've got the right one, but it would be nice to cut into the right wire right of the bat

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Instead of "guessing", why not back probe the gray, and blue wires and see which has 5V with the key on? Whichever one doesn't is the signal to the computer. Coincidentally, you'll see the voltage climb as you open the throttle on the signal wire. Should be about .5V at idle-4.5-5.0 at WOT.
