I am rebuilding me a 355 LT1 with forged internals and I noticed the Nitrous Express LT1 Maf System can spray up to 300 horsepower, but is it safe to spray anywhere between 200-300 shot of nitrous if it is not a direct port system? Wouldn't some of the cylinders lean to much and blow my engine even if it is forged. Thanks for any info.

 

I don't think your cylinders would "lean" too much. The maf kit is really nice and if I had the money there would be one under my hood. For your purposes it will work well. go to NX's site and read about it, you will get a better understanding of how it works.

 

You will be fine at those levels witht he maf kit. I would recommend you do a dual stage, those wise the tires are not going to like you very much.

Yes it is a wet kit, Probably the best looking kit for the F-body cars. Clean, quick install, and looks like it belonged in the car. You can a later time upgrade the kit to a dual stage.
It replaces the stock MAF housing ends with new billet ones.

Not at all.
The nitrous and fuel mix into the air stream.They are pulled through the motor in about a second or two.

I'd love to have the NX MAF ends, and will when funds finally allow. I don't think I'd feel safe spraying a 300 shot through it w/ a built motor....at that power level, the cost of a direct port would be good enough for my piece of mind. But I'd feel safe on a 200 shot w/ it.

 

Yes I do agree that a directport would be a better choice for a 300 shot.But I have customers spraying that much with out a directport also.
