LS1 and Jacob's nitrous mastermind

I recently got a Jacob's nitrous mastermind and was going to put it on my 87 camaro, but have decided to not bother putting any money into that car and not spray it anymore. Instead I'm just going to put money into my 99SS and upgrade the stuff that I have in there. Is there any way to connect the mastermind to the LS1? The general instructions say that it requires the use of an aftermarket ignition system. Is this still required to use it on an LS1 and if so, what's available for me?

You should be able to use the progressive feature no problem. I don't think you will get the Retard feature or the Rev Limit to work. You might get the mastermind to trigger a LS1 Timing Tuner and have that pull timing, or change out the COP system to a distributor based and then use the mastermind to control the timing on the spray.

That's what I thought. I was hoping to be able to get the timing retard to work without too much extra. Timing tuner is $250 correct?

Yes. Do you know what kind of out put the mastermid provides for controlling timing?

Sends trigger signals.

If it sends out either a ground or 12v you could use it to trigger the LS1 timing tuner. It's a little tricky as you would have to use the output to trigger a relay or something (like a LED light or resistor) between the white and gray wires on the LS1 timing tuner.
